To kick things off, calle ocho(8th street) is not just a local place for prostitution. In fact, 8th street holds a very famous festival every year. People come to this festival to represent their heritage. Although the festival was originated by Cubans, all types of latin americans participate. For example, Columbians, Hundurans, Chileans, etc... The best part about the festival is the music and the food. I love the fact that I can eat foods from different cultures. Also, the live performances are great.
If you havent been to this festival you might want to prepare for something extremely new. My first time attending the festival I was so overwhelmed because there was so much people, millions! Also, its really really loud. Its not the normal environment. Its a huge part and people want to have fun and represent there heritage.
I suggest you have some Peptobismol it your fridge. If you're a pig like me that eats anything and everything, prepare for some heavy duty stomach aches. Over 50 cultures equals over 50 different types of food. Just think about that. At this festival every culture serves its famous dishes. If you love food then you will love the festival. You can smell the food from blocks away. Satisfaction garuanteed.

The Beatles

I dont know many people my age that listen to The Beatles. I really dont know why. I guess its not "cool" if you listen to them. I have never seen anyone on myspace with any Beatles' song but me. Usually guys have some "gangster" sh** and girls have some T.I. sh**. I have no problem with that cause I change songs weekly; I've had T.I and "ganster" sh** on my profile, but still I have no shame of putting The Beatles on my profile. I dont know if you've ever heard any of their songs, but all I know is that their songs carry different meanings. I can bet that you wouldnt know what "Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds" stands for or "Strawberry Fields Forever." Even the titles of the songs have meanings. Like I said previously in the other blogs, whenever I listen to good music I get goosebumps and almost every song from the The Beatles gives them to me. I just dont understand why barely any young people listen to The Beatles.
